La Casona de Aguafría is a typical house of the villages in the Sierra de Huelva located in the small hamlet Aguafría with 70 inhabitants, belonging to Almonaster la Real. The house is from 1930 although renovated it retains the structure as it was, typical entrance arch, hydraulic floors, ceilings and chestnut beams, manor of the era.
The house belonged to Marciano Díaz, it was known in the region for its manufacturing and drying of hams since the owner had a store in the center of Seville “Casa Marciano”, famous for its groceries, hams and mountain products on C/ Lineros.
Some old objects from the time are preserved combined with current art of paintings and sculptures make La Casona de Aguafría a very special and cozy place.
